UniPlayer is a modern IPTV player for the Apple ecosystem: Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac. It’s known for its clean interface, well-designed Apple TV remote support and cloud sync. It comes with no channels — you need a subscription from a provider.

What to know in advance

- Playlists are added through your online account on the website, not with the remote — and they instantly appear on all your Apple devices
- Apple only: there are no versions for Android or other manufacturers’ smart TVs

Step 1. Creating an account
Playlists are managed in the cloud, so you can’t do without an account.
- Open the official website uniplayer.net in a browser
- Click “Sign up”
- Enter your name, email and password, then confirm your registration
Step 2. Installing the app
- Open the App Store on your Apple TV, iPhone, iPad or Mac
- Find UniPlayer — the developer is Vadim Suprovici
- Install the app
- Launch it and sign in with the email and password of your account on the website
Step 3. Adding a playlist
This is done in your online account — typing long URLs with a TV remote is far more painful.
- Sign in to your account at uniplayer.net and open the playlist management section
- Click “Add playlist”
- Choose a method: Xtream Codes — server address, username and password from your provider (preferred) — or a direct M3U link
- Give it a name and save
- Go back to your Apple TV: the app syncs on its own and loads the channels, categories and TV guide
Useful settings
- Choosing the playback engine. If a channel has no sound, freezes or breaks up into pixels, switch the player from the standard one to VLC or vice versa — in the settings or by holding “OK” on a specific channel
- Your own EPG source. If your provider doesn’t deliver the TV guide automatically, select the playlist in the main menu, hold “OK” → “EPG settings” → “Edit” and add the link to the XMLTV file from your provider
- Siri Remote. Swipe right for the channel and group list, swipe up and down for the TV guide and navigation, long press for the channel context menu: favorites, audio track selection, player selection
- Paying for the subscription. Available both through Apple in-app purchases directly in the app and through your online account on the developer’s website
