IP-TV Player by developer Borpas-Soft is a classic IPTV player for Windows. It’s built on the VLC engine and designed for watching TV on a computer: lightweight, easy on system resources and able to record broadcasts. It comes with no channels — you need a playlist from a provider.

Step 1. Installation
- Open the developer’s official website — borpas.info/iptvplayer
- Click “Download IP-TV Player” and download the .exe installer
- Run the installer
- Pay close attention at the component selection step. The installer offers to install third-party software — browsers, toolbars and other services. Switch to “Custom settings” and uncheck all the extra boxes, or your computer will end up with things you never asked for
- Wait for the installation to finish and click “Finish”
Step 2. Adding a playlist
On first launch, a window for choosing the channel source opens.

- Select “Channel list address (file M3U)” or “Custom channel set”
- Paste the playlist URL into the text field — or click the browse icon and point to a downloaded .m3u on your drive
- Click “OK” and the channel list will load

If you watch IPTV from your internet service provider, select it from the drop-down list of presets — the player will fetch the current channel lineup on its own.
Step 3. Key settings
The settings panel opens via the gear icon in the lower right corner of the window or with Ctrl+P.
- Advanced mode. Check “All settings” in the lower left — this unlocks fine-grained decoding and network options
- TV guide. “TV guide” tab → paste the XMLTV or JTV link into the address field if it wasn’t picked up from the playlist, and click “Update”
- Recording. “Recording” tab → choose a folder for the video files. Background recording is configured there too, and timer recording on the “Scheduler” tab
- Combing artifacts in the picture. If you see horizontal lines in sports and fast-moving scenes: right-click the video → “Video” → “Deinterlace” → “On,” mode Blend or Yadif
- Freezing due to the internet connection. Settings → “Channel” or “Network” tab → increase “Network stream cache” to 3000–5000 ms
