Televizo is a popular IPTV player for Android. One thing to understand up front: it is just a player shell with no built-in channels. To watch anything, you need an active subscription with an IPTV provider and the login details the provider gives you. Below is the full path from installation to comfortable viewing.

Step 1. Installing the App
The app runs on Android smartphones and tablets, set-top boxes, and TVs with Android TV or Google TV.
From Google Play (recommended)
- Open Google Play on your TV, set-top box, or smartphone
- Search for Televizo
- Tap “Install” and wait for the download to finish
Via APK (for devices without Google Play)
This option is for set-top boxes without the official Google store. Download the installation file only from the developer’s website: APKs from third-party sites may have been tampered with.
- Download the .apk from the official Televizo website, either to a USB flash drive or directly to the TV using the Downloader app
- In the device’s security settings, allow installation from unknown sources
- Open the file in a file manager and tap “Install”
- After installation, turn off unknown sources again. It’s safer that way
Step 2. Adding a Playlist
On first launch the screen will be empty: you need to add your channels. Televizo supports two formats: Xtream Codes and M3U.
Xtream Codes (preferred)
It’s more convenient because the TV guide and channel logos are usually loaded automatically along with the playlist.
- On the home screen, tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Open “Playlists” and tap “+”
- Select “New Xtream Codes playlist”
- Fill in the fields with the details from your provider: any name you like, the portal address as the server URL, plus your username and password
- Tap the checkmark in the top right corner
Via an M3U Link
- Settings → “Playlists” → “+”
- Select “New M3U playlist”
- Enter a name and paste the .m3u or .m3u8 link your provider gave you. If the file is already downloaded to the device, tap “Select file”
- Save by tapping the checkmark
Step 3. TV Guide (EPG)
With an M3U playlist, the TV guide may not load on its own. In that case, add it manually.
- Settings → “EPG” → “+”
- Enter a name, for example EPG
- Paste the EPG link, usually a .xml, .xmltv, or .gz file. Your provider supplies this as well
- Save: the player will match the playlist channels with the guide automatically
Step 4. Useful Settings
The player works well out of the box, but a few settings make viewing more comfortable.
- Video player. Settings → “Video player”: make sure hardware decoders are enabled. If channels freeze or the sound drops out, try switching the decoding type from hardware to software or vice versa
- Auto frame rate (AFR). If your TV and set-top box support matching the refresh rate to the frame rate, enable it in the video player settings to get rid of judder during panning shots. This feature is available in the Premium version
- Hiding unneeded groups. Your provider offers 2,000 channels, but you only watch about fifty? In the channel list, open the context menu by holding “OK” on the remote and hide the categories you don’t need
- Buffer size. If your internet connection is unstable, increase the buffer in the playlist settings: channel switching will take a fraction of a second longer, but playback will be smoother
Free Version vs. Premium
Televizo is fully functional for free: there are no limits on viewing time or the number of channels. Premium is a one-time purchase that lasts forever.
